Gift 17 ~ I'd Like to Keep $100 / Holiday Chocolates

For Gift 17 (on April 4), Cami remembered that her medical friend Mbali proposed that she give away something that she felt she could never part with. Despite her mounting bills, Cami digs deep to give $100 to her friend Eve's South Africa teaching mission. With debt mounting into five-figures, she knows that the money could be used to chip away at their bills. Whe she goes online to blog about her gift for the day, she sees a post by her husband Mark who blogged about his first gift (which means that he finally decided to take on the 29-Gift Challenge as well). Mark's gift was a CD mix that he made for a Beatles fand he knew.

Today I have help making my gift for the day. Yesterday I went to the store to buy all the ingredients for holiday chocolates. This is becoming a bit of a tradition for us! The boys all pitch in to help; most certainly to get into the holiday spirit as well as to have some yummy treats for themselves. Once we finish with the chocolate covered pretzels, peanuts, and Oreos (with sprinkles!), we make up a handful of containers and label them for nearby friends and neighbors. The reactions of the recipients are all awesome of course, and my favorite is the one neighbor who asked if he has to share with the rest of his family.:)
