Gift 21 ~ Pets for My Pet / Concert Set-Up

By this 21st day, Cami is aware of one of the profound changes she has seen in herself since she began giving. She is now comfortable counting every gift she mindfully offers to another person. She no longer feels pressure to make a grand gesture for it to count. I didn't look ahead to this chapter, so it is safe to say this is how I felt yesterday when I brought dinner home to Alex!

Along these same lines, Cami's 21st gift was a belly rub for her cat Habib. When she is done rubbing, the cat climbs up on the couch, curls up next to her, and they both doze off for a short cat nap (her pun, not mine!).

My gift today didn't cost anything but my time, and I can enjoy it with a few hundred other people in the next hour or so. I spent five hours helping set up Hilkert Hall with a few other volunteers, to get it all ready for tonight's Brigid's Cross concert and mission trip fundraiser. We set up tables and chairs, a stage, and numerous decorations with a blue and white color scheme and green accents. The place isn't completely finished when I left at 2pm, but it was really looking great. I can't wait to arrive tonight and see how festive it looks with lots of people, lots of food and beverages, and of course the Brigid's Cross band playing for us!!! (P.S. - I'm told we raised about $8500 from the fundraiser for the upcoming mission trip to the Dominican!)
