Made it down to Higuey, Dominican Republic safe and sound on Monday at around 3:30pm local time (Central Standard Time Zone). Our first day was spent getting unpacked, settled into our hotel, and getting ready for the next day. The connectivity has been poor without wireless access til just a few minutes ago. One of the exciting things we did was make a quick stop at the work site to get a look at it.
Today (Tuesday) we started out with a visit to the Bishop's compound for a retreat and lunch. After lunch, we stopped at the Basilica de la Altagracia for a few minutes then it was off to the job site. More later!!
